Lower School parents were amazed and delighted by the high standards of entertainment at Friday’s Lower School Christmas Celebration.
Form Two began with some humorous & beautifully spoken poems which were followed by a sensitive rendition of ‘We’re Walking in the Air’ – from Raymond Briggs’ ‘The Snowman’.
Form One’s innovative take on the traditional Nativity story had the audience marvelling at the enormous quantity of narration & song. Every word could be heard and the enjoyment as they danced and sang their way through the story was clear for all to see.
Highlights were the Calypso-style ‘There were Shepherds’ and the more melodic & reflective ‘In a stable long ago’. The afternoon drew to a close with everyone standing to join in the final, rousing number: ‘It’s a party, everybody’! Well, it certainly was. Thank you Lower School – Christmas is most definitely on its way.
