Congratulations to Manon and Maddie who over a weekend in both January and February raced at the Surrey County championships.
Manon got two PBs and two silver medals in the 100m and 200m breaststroke and a PB and won silver in the 50 breaststroke she lost gold by 0.15 of a second!
Maddie swam 11 races and achieved the following :
County Champion:
50 back, 100 breast, 200 Individual Medley, 400 free and 100 free
Silver medal
50 breast, 100 back, 50 free, 200 breast, 200 free
Bronze medal
200 back.
In addition to these incredible swims, personal bests in most, Maddie was also crowned the top 12-year-old girl in the county across the whole competition.
She has now qualified for 8 events at the Scottish National Champs in Aberdeen in April (her first national level event).
