Congratulations to all our swimmers who took part in the IAPS swimming finals on Saturday at the London Aquatic Centre, Stratford.
The 2024 results
Boys
Rafi W U12 individual 50m Butterfly event. Well done to Rafi, he dropped his time to a new personal best and finished 14th overall out of 40 entries.
Girls
Manon G-J U13 individual 50m Breaststroke should take heart after being blighted with injury this year. Manon should be proud coming 3rd place in her heat dropping her time and then sitting with the top 4 swimmers out in front, she secured a fantastic overall 4th place a slither behind the Bronze time.
Maddie M has a terrific Saturday, Maddie M dominated this event from the start with a 5 second lead over the 2nd place. Then going into the finals, she dropped her heat time and broke a new IAPS personal best time for this event 35.50 and became Gold medallist.
U10 & U11 Girls 8 x 25m Small Schools Relay team (Maddie M, Evie M, Nahla W, Leonie S, Lily B, Seren H, Sienna G and Flo G) This year was the first time CPS has entered this particular event and the dropped their time by 19 seconds to come steaming in 4th place at the finals. Maddie M set the pace at a cracking 13.23 for the first 25m.
U13 Girls 4 x 25m Medley Relay team (Manon G-J, Alice B, Chloe G and Ariel T) seeded 18th for this event, however the girls showed verve and vigour as they braced themselves to take on some of the top swim schools in the country. They dropped their time by 5 seconds and should be very proud of their final placing 11th overall.
