Last Monday afternoon CPS took 40 children U9’s – U13’s A & B mixed teams to a quadrangular gala held at Windlesham House School’s state of the art swimming complex. Not a spare space could be found as swimmers and spectators stood posed for an evening of dynamic competitive swimming.
CPS set out high expectations to retain last year’s overall win, however with an incoming wave of flu coupled with rugby injuries after the weekend sadly the team lost many key linchpin swimmers. Not all was lost as swimmers gallantly agreed to swim up a year group or take on more events.
Due to the size of the event and pool time constraints WHS had to make a call and axe the final B freestyle relay events where CPS tend to flourish and gain their most points.
A special thanks to our captains Toby L-D and Isla Rose A for their mentoring and steadfast calm. To Leonie S, Hattie K, Maddie M for swimming up a year group and coming 1st / 2nd in their events!
Well done and thank you all for showing a phlegmatic approach.
Overall Scores: –
1st Westbourne House
