This year’s World Book Day saw us celebrate ‘The Need For Adventure’ in reading, be it through fictional or non-fictional texts. As well as the customary costumes, which were dazzling in both array and quality, the workshops were a particular highlight. On offer, we saw treasure hunts, library quizzes, designing book covers, an author talk from our very own Mr Dixon, coding adventure games from IT, ballooning from the Science department and preparing your own adventure bars in Food Tech.
To top it all off, the day culminated in a fashion parade to put Paris or Milan to shame as, set to music chosen by Form 6, the children and staff strutted their stuff down our makeshift catwalk.
A huge thank you to all staff and children for throwing themselves headlong into the day, and to parents for the stunning costumes on show.
Cranleigh Abu Dhabi also enjoyed a fun filled World Book Day, enjoy our World Book Day film incorporating Cranleigh Prep School and Cranleigh Abu Dhabi.
It wasn’t just the pupils who enjoyed dressing up!
