Ten Form 4 pupils from Cranleigh Prep School recently showcased their gaming talents at an inter-prep school E-Sports Tournament hosted by Cottesmore School. The event saw participation from 60 pupils representing 8 different prep schools, competing in ‘Rocket League’ (car football) and ‘Minecraft: Capture The Flag’.

Our pupils formed two teams of five, promoting valuable skills such as teamwork, communication, and strategic thinking. One of our teams demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, advancing through the heats, quarter-finals, and semi-finals to reach the final round of the competition. Their impressive performance earned them a commendable second place, with each team member proudly receiving a silver medal.

In addition to this achievement, the event also brought an exciting opportunity for our female gamers. And the girls have received an invitation to a girls-only E-Sports event scheduled for January, aiming to encourage more female participation in the gaming community.

We are immensely proud of our pupils’ achievements and look forward to their continued success in future competitions.
