Admissions Process

We love to meet new families and would be delighted for you to come and visit Cranleigh Prep. Our friendly and experienced admissions team will be on hand to offer support and guidance throughout every step of the admissions process.

Stage 1

Visit us

We love welcoming prospective students and their families to Cranleigh Prep, so we encourage you to book in to one of our open events. These include a comprehensive tour of the school, the opportunity to meet informally with the Head and to hear from current students. We are also happy to arrange individual visits during the working week.

Stage 2

Register

If you like what you see on the first visit, please register via our Admissions Portal. Parents should register their child via the online portal and pay the £240 fee. We recommend that families register as early as possible. Once a registration has been completed we require a recent school report and / or a reference from their current school.

Stage 3

Stay & Play Day

Registered applicants for Year 1 and Year 2 will be invited to one of our Stay & Play Days in the Lent term. This will allow children to meet Pre-Prep school staff and familiarise themselves with our campus. Children will experience a typical day including some time in the classrooms, breaks outdoors and some sport or dance activities. We ask for a report from your child’s current school in advance.

Parents are invited to join for drinks and meet the Head and staff informally. Advance booking is essential.

Our next Stay & Play Day is Monday 10th March. Please contact Admissions to book.

Stage 4

Offer

We will make offers shortly after your child’s Stay & Play Day. We make offers to those we feel will thrive and make the most of the opportunities provided for them.

Stage 5

Getting to Know You

After you have accepted a place, you will be invited to various events where the focus is on getting to know your child and introducing you all to the wider community at Cranleigh. We hold a New Pupils’ Day in June and our admissions team will keep you informed about other opportunities to come and visit us.
